Summary
A RentItem’s Social Media Manager will be responsible for developing social media campaigns that empower individuals and businesses to conduct commerce by sharing and renting items. As a Social Media Manager, you will use your creative skills, technical skills, and ingenuity to implement new marketing ideas while collaborating with other team members to ensure our brand message is being heard and a strong social community is being created. We have junior, mid-level, and senior-level opportunities available.
Responsibilities
- Own all branded social media channels (including building out new ones if/when they become relevant)
- Design and implement platform-specific marketing strategies that align with overall business goals (e.g., conversions, lead generation, awareness, etc.)
- Design and implement campaigns of varying scope on social channels (e.g., product launches, rebrands, awareness campaigns, contests, etc.)
- Measure, test, and report on social strategies and campaigns using analytics tools
- Create and/or curate all social content, including text, image, and video
- Own and build out social media content publishing calendar
- Manage editing, approval, and scheduling of all posts for all platforms
- Engage with brand followers and fans on social channels
- Create and strengthen partnerships with other brands, social media companies, and influencers
Minimum Qualifications
- Able to manage creative projects and meet deadlines and deliverables.
- As a marketer, able to strategically plan well and find ways to creatively increase brand awareness and build social communities.
- Able to use analytics to prove ROI and create meaningful social media reports
- Has strong writing skills. Writes killer call-to-action posts, speak emoji fluently (in moderation), and avoid typos.
- Has strong design skills. Understands and knows what is good design and what is poor design.
- BS degree in Marketing, a similar technical field of study or equivalent work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Can clearly demonstrate the ability to grow social media awareness and relationships
- Proficient in using software tools such as Hootsuite, TweetDeck, Trello, Slack, etc.
