In 2018, James Zimbardi started Rent Items with the objective to help individuals and small business owners put their assets sitting idle to better use by offering them for rent to local community members and travelers. Billions of items are sitting idle in homes, apartments, storage units, retail stores, and warehouses. His vision for Rent Items is to be the leading rental marketplace by continously discovering new ways to reuse assets already consumed by individuals and businesses. 

James has over 22-years of experience as a digital innovator. He has been a thought leader on the future of commerce. In 2014, James got into the rental industry in Orlando, Florida.

James has a Bacholors of Business degree in Marketing and IT from Stetson University and an MBA as a Sloan Fellow in Innovation and Global Leadership from MIT.
